The \nhorse could not stand on three legs.  Because of the low &#8220;pick point&#8221; we\n had to adapt the LAL (Large Animal Lifter) to support the horse for the\n farrier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/172.16.0.3:49159\/photos\/web adapt lal.jpg\" alt=\"web adapt lal.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>A 4:1 hauling system was remotely set up.  Using change of direction \npullies to keep personnel away from the horse, the horse was supported \non its feet as the farrier trimmed its hooves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/172.16.0.3:49159\/photos\/web trimming.jpg\" alt=\"web adapt lal.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>After trimming, the horse is led away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/172.16.0.3:49159\/photos\/web post trim.jpg\" alt=\"web adapt lal.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Horse trailer over-the-side<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The trailer detached from the truck and rolled downhill, over the side and flipped over on to its side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"504\" height=\"336\" src=\"http:\/\/172.16.0.3:49159\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Trailer-over-the-sideA.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-76\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The first horse was dragged out, the second stood up on the trailer sidewall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"504\" height=\"336\" src=\"http:\/\/172.16.0.3:49159\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Horse-in-trailer-1A.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-74\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>As the horse moved, the sidewall of the trailer failed, and the legs fell through the sheet metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"504\" height=\"336\" src=\"http:\/\/172.16.0.3:49159\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Horse-in-trailer-2A.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-75\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Using trailer manipulation techniques, the trailer is slowly placed \non to its roof. Large \nAnimal Rescue instructor Capt. The horse had been down \nfor an unknown time and was unable to stand. The barn&#8217;s frame work was supported\n using Air Shore struts.  Firefighter Audrey Dawson and Capt. Large Animal \nRescue Instructor Capt.
